Announcing LZFBA
Lake Zurich Feeder Basketball Enters a New Era
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Lake Zurich Feeder Basketball Association (LZFBA) — uniting LZ Hoops (Boys, est. 2002) and Jr. Bears (Girls, est. 1993) under one feeder program.
While both programs will continue to compete under their established names, this new structure allows us to provide an even stronger, more cohesive basketball experience for all Lake Zurich players.
What This Means for Our Players & Families
1. Unified Vision & Culture – A consistent philosophy for skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship across both boys and girls programs.
2. Streamlined Communication – All updates, schedules, and announcements will now come from one central source—no more juggling multiple systems.
3. Shared Resources & Spaces – Continued collaboration with District 95 to secure practice space and host games.
4. Expanded Community – A larger network of players and families, strengthening the Lake Zurich basketball culture.
Our Leadership
The founding board members bring a wealth of basketball knowledge and deep passion for our community:
Scott Rubicz | Frank Dohleman | Jonathan Strauss | Dan Hemler | Matt Soellner
We’re excited to build on this strong foundation and make the upcoming season our best yet.
Stay tuned to your email and our new website for updates on fall skills sessions and tryout dates.
Thank you for your continued support of Lake Zurich basketball.
